Never miss a Jimmy Smith record, especially this one, full of jazz grooves gems, where Oliver Nelson's arrangements supports Jimmy Smith's smooth organ. Recorded in 1968 on Verve, this is a luxury melting pot of a crossover between Lalo Schifrin and Burt Bacharach alchemies. You'll find terrific bass loops and lush orchestrations all along these 9 tracks. This LP oppened with a brilliant cover of the "mission impossible" theme, followed by be-bops incursions, the mainstream is jazz and the background groove. This is a must Have !

Salut number06, j'ai effacé le blog car j'ai un peu flippé car je trouvais ca risqué. Je me ballade plus sur les forums maintenant.
Carrement sympathique ce petit album de jimmy smith, je suis un assez grand fan,je sais pas si tu connais The Cat avec Lalo Schifrin c'est un des mes albums prefere.

merci Agent Double -O- Soul, etant grand fan devant l'eternel (de) Monsieur Gainsbourg, j'ai déjà une discographie bien fournie, mais, bien vu, Madame Claude ne fait pas encore partie de mes connaissances, mis a part quelques titres du coffret "le cinéma de Serge Gainsbourg". Je t'encourage vivement a recréer un blog et de te fixer toi même des limites si tu crains (quoi d'ailleurs ?). Moi, je m'oblige à numériser 1 vinyl par semaine et ça bouffe une soirée...
Et puis pas question de "money" ou commerce quelconque.

N'hésite pas plutôt a me contacter via mon adresse e-mail que tu trouveras sur SOC. Merci encore et bon courage pour une "éventuelle" reprise d'activité.
